After seeing the reactions of current Dynamics GP Users at JOVACO’s own launch of Dynamics GP 2010 R2, in my opinion Business Analyzer takes home top prize for the feature that people were most excited to learn more about.
Out of all the new features which were added to the latest version of
Business Analyzer has a clear and simple navigation pane, therefore the users in attendance were able to see firsthand how easy it has become to send information across an organization. Although they did have questions and concerns about the security of sending reports and sensitive information so easily, their worries were allayed when they saw that Microsoft had created different security profiles that are quickly identifiable within Dynamics GP and would be a good starting point if you would need to create personalized settings.
JOVACO demonstrated through the combination of SQL 2008R2 and Report Builder 3.0 that your organization could in theory have an unlimited number of reports that you can develop internally then allow users to choose and modify the reports that they would like to view and send.
The final feature within Business Analyzer that I think helped make this the User’s (and Our!) top choice for best update in Dynamics GP 2010 R2 was the idea of how quickly you can now assign access to a report and extract clear and concise information. Users were excited to see that you could link reports to a specific business group without having to grant individual access and then have a drilldown option within the report to research any immediate issues that they have identified, a definite timesaver for everyone!
