In today’s competitive environment, sales professionals need all the help they can get to close proposals faster and ensure customer satisfaction. Providing your team with the best sales tools is a win for your entire organization. CRM-ERP integration allows you to synchronize workflows across your business. Now Microsoft Dynamics 365 let you do that and more.

Access to real-time information and accurate data is essential for your sales team. Having the information they need at hand empowers them to focus on outcomes and achieve their sales goals of turning prospects into closed deals and company profits.

The key to expanding data access is the integration among your enterprise applications, particularly your CRM and ERP systems. When customer data flows automatically from CRM into your ERP, you can set up accounts and fulfill orders quickly and efficiently. Conversely, customer account and order data will flow from ERP to CRM, so customer accounts will always be up-to-date.

How CRM-ERP integration enhances cash flow

Two leading CRM and ERP solutions operating in the Cloud are Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) and Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (F&SCM).  Dynamics CE includes Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Marketing, Dynamics 365 Field Service, and Dynamics 365 Customer Service. Dynamics F&SCM is the latest evolution of the Dynamics AX ERP platform.

Integrating Dynamics 365 Sales (CRM) with Dynamics F&SCM (ERP) can accelerate the timeline for turning prospects into cash. You’ll streamline the processes that convert leads into customers and create invoices to generate income. Dynamics 365 Sales handles the lead qualification, account management, and proposals to create a 360-degree view of customers. Meanwhile, Dynamics 365 F&SCM manages purchasing, order fulfillment, inventory, billing, banking, and financials.

Data Mapping between Dynamics ERP and CRM for smooth integration

Microsoft provides a tool for facilitating workflows between your Dynamics 365 solutions. Microsoft Dataverse uses the Microsoft standard data model to set up the mappings.  These mappings ensure that Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management work in sync. Your sales team will manage accounts and generate orders automatically populating their collected data into your Dynamics 365 F&SCM for fulfillment. When the orders are fulfilled, your ERP solution automatically transmits that data back to the sales team’s CRM. Everybody sees what’s happing and the status of each account and order in real time. It’s easier, more efficient, and contributes to a faster, more direct flow from prospect to cash.

Benefits of data synchronization between Dynamics 365 ERP and Dynamics 365 Sales

Data synchronization between your CRM and ERP solutions has many advantages. Here are some of the things you can do:

  • Manage leads from qualification to opportunities and wins.
  • Create accounts pulling in legal entity data and adding customer attributes and characteristics.
  • Automatically synchronize customer data from CRM to ERP to initiate credit verification.
  • Originate proposals in CRM and convert them into sales orders in ERP.
  • Initiate the fulfillment process directing the warehouse team on how to handle orders.
  • Ensure order data flows into CRM so your sales team and customers can track progress.
  • Generate Invoices in ERP, creating accounts receivable entries.

The synchronization of data and visibility across functions ensures that your internal teams have complete visibility into what is happening with each customer and account. And, with both systems running in the cloud, all the data is accessible from any device for anyone with permission.

  1. I would say this is wishful thinking.
Connection with ERP is nothing but smooth. People are yet to understand that to sell more you need to focus on quality not quantity. So if you give more tools to spam for sales person - company doesnt make more sales or gains. To get any benefit there is solution needed to put whole process into one stream - means from lead to invoice including pruchasing and vendors. if to measure time in actual sales-purchase process you can see that as simple things as sales getting info about where are products, shipment ETA etc. will take hours of communication. Proper tool (business relationship manager) can literally reduce number of people needed in company.
Sales person will make better results if service is faster and better. If you need to wait days to get quote out or info when delivey happens - this is where customers look elswehwre.
