Today at Ignite 2021, Microsoft announced April public preview of Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management, designed to help customers scale their order management processes from intake to delivery without replacing their legacy enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Below are some key highlights from this announcement:

  • Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management is a configurable, rule-based, AI-powered software-as-a-service (SaaS) application is designed to help retailers and consumer goods companies realize the omni-channel, “buy anywhere, fulfill anywhere” vision with easy onboarding and user experience.
  • With Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management, business professionals can measure fulfilment effectiveness and re-model the order fulfilment journey using drag and drop tools to ensure that their customer needs are met on time and cost effectively.
  • With exception-based management, business users can adjust and change any order path. The system learns how the business user reacts to each exception and learns to provide better recommendations next time. This also helps to ensure optimal stock levels and improve cash flow.

The company also announced other new and updated Dynamics 365 capabilities that will help businesses adapt and evolve. For more information, see the Dynamics 365 Blog here.
