Improve Project Planning with JOVACO’s Timesheet and Automated Leave Requests

As JOVACO strives to continuously improve its products, TEDI, our timesheet and expense report application, will soon offer leave requests, a feature that has been often requested by clients. Fully integrated to Microsoft Dynamics GP and JOVACO Project, a complete project accounting solution, TEDI provides organizations with real-time visibility on hours worked for better control of their projects.

The leave request feature facilitates the process by letting employees submit leave and vacation requests for a given period to their supervisor, who can then approve them directly from the system. Once the request has been submitted and approved, vacation lines appear pre-filled in the employee’s timesheet for the period in question.

To facilitate the process even more, resources also benefit from a view on their banks of hours, and the system calculates how many hours will be accumulated by the planned date of their leave. This also takes into consideration current leave requests for more accuracy.

The timesheet is also integrated to our planning module, which means that planned leaves are reflected directly in the planning tool. Project managers can better manage their projects and workload, since the information is entered directly into the system instead of being submitted by email or verbally.

JOVACO is excited to offer this new feature to JOVACO Project clients. The automation and integration of leave requests from the timesheet will greatly facilitate processes for users, continuously improving visibility on resource availability and planning while also providing a better user experience.
