Helping Nonprofits Achieve Their Goals: NetHope Works to Connect Nonprofits with Microsoft Partners

NetHope’s Center for the Digital Nonprofit recently unveiled some exciting news for nonprofits worldwide and we can’t wait to share it with you. But first, let’s take a closer look at what NetHope offers nonprofit organizations and why we at AKA are so honored to work side by side with them.

As a consortium of 56 different global nonprofits, NetHope works to help nonprofit organizations utilize technology to create change and achieve their goals. Every nonprofit is unique, and so are their needs when it comes to technology. NetHope understands this, and they work hard to connect funding partners and tech companies who can design, implement, and scale the tech-based solutions that nonprofits need. At AKA, we’re proud to be a part of NetHope’s important work of connecting nonprofit organizations with appropriate technology.

In 2017, NetHope launched The Center for the Digital Nonprofit. The goal of The Center was to combine the on-the-ground expertise of nonprofits with the technical know-how of leading tech companies. The result is a vast network of organizations--each with something unique to contribute--who work together to bring the kinds of ideas that can change the world to life. The Center focuses on three important areas: Technology, Process, and People. With the tools, guidance, and resources offered by The Center in these important areas, nonprofits around the world have been able to achieve digital transformation.

The IDEA Journey from NetHope

Initially launched and refined by Microsoft as Dream, Design, Deliver (D3), NetHope’s IDEA Journey (Imagine, Design, Execute, and Assess) was created as a partnership between Microsoft, Nethope, and five leading tech partners, including AKA.

For more than a year now, AKA has been working to facilitate a digital transformation for The Carter Center, a nonprofit organization focused on human rights and humanitarian issues. Our aim is simple: to help The Carter Center implement the solutions they need in order to achieve their digital transformation goals.

AKA is honored to be participating in the 2019 NetHope Global Summit as an IDEA Program partner. AKA Enterprise Solutions CEO, Alan Kahn, will take part in a panel discussion for the launch of the IDEA Program at the San Juan, Puerto Rico event.

Exciting News: The Digital Nonprofit Ability (DNA) Assessment

Now that you know more about NetHope and AKA, let’s circle back to the exciting announcement for nonprofits worldwide. Up until recently, NetHope’s Digital Nonprofit Ability™ (DNA) Assessment was only available for nonprofit members of the

NetHope consortium. Now, the DNA Assessment is available online for all nonprofits worldwide.

But what exactly is the NetHope DNA Assessment? Simply put, this online benchmarking survey is a powerful assessment tool for nonprofits of all types and sizes looking to engage in a digital transformation. The survey provides nonprofits with detailed metrics on their strengths and weaknesses across six categories, helping them to better understand their digital needs. This makes the process of digital transformation easier and more effective for nonprofits, whether they are NetHope members or not.
