Dynamics GP just got a lot more than an upgrade

Actions are more powerful than words.

You may be hearing a lot lately about the up and coming ERP solutions of the future. But Microsoft has just subtly told the world that one of the most stable ERP solutions on the market —Microsoft Dynamics GP—is here to stay, and that means Dynamics GP just got a lot more than an upgrade.

I recently wrote a blog entitled “New Dynamics GP — Much more than a new version”.  I pointed out that Microsoft just released the October upgrade for Microsoft Dynamics GP and that the product has been included in Microsoft’s Modern Lifecycle Policy.  Turns out a lot of people agreed with me that this announcement “represents the perpetuation of one of the most stable ERP products on the market”. From Microsoft’s website: “The Modern Lifecycle Policy covers products and services that are serviced and supported continuously”. What this really means is that Dynamics GP will continue to be developed and supported for the foreseeable future, and this is very good news for anyone searching for a business solution to manage their business.

Dynamics GP just got a lot more than an upgrade

More than just "stable"

On my blog I simply used the word “stable” to describe Dynamics GP, only to be quickly corrected by colleagues who described it as “also one of the most capable, functional, integrate-able, slice and dice-able ERP products!” and I happen to agree.  While I am excited about the new offerings from Microsoft such as Business Central, you only need to look at the diversity of Dynamics GP customers out there, and at the width and breath of functionality both built-in and available through the hundreds of independent software vendors, to clearly see that GP is an excellent solution for many customers. Dynamics GP has the proven track record of providing great ROI and implementation success throughout almost three decades, and today more so than any time in the past.

Microsoft is committed to Dynamics GP.  For the foreseeable future, Dynamics GP will remain one of the most complete, powerful and flexible ERP solutions on the market for both on-premise and cloud implementations.

ICON is in the business of making our customers more efficient and profitable since 1987.  With Microsoft Dynamics GP, we offer you a stable, feature-rich solution second to none to drive better decisions for your business.
