What’s New in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central April 2019 Release

    Microsoft just published an overview of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central April 2019 release. A few of the new additions coming are:

    • Ability to save a filtered list view
    • New Autosave indicator feature
    • New keyboard shortcuts
    • Additional search terms (ex: can use “product” instead of “item”)
    • Ability for user to personalize the action bar
    • Improved synchronization with Dynamics 365 for Sales, improved sales order integration and shared AI insights
    • Adding SmartLists for simplified business intelligence and building a foundation for creating SmartLists designer tools in later release

    Admin Enhancements:

    • Manage upgrade schedule – tenants will now be scheduled for upgrade on a predetermined date
      • Option to reschedule or schedule immediately
    • Monitoring and Notifications – event notification for upgrades, schedules, results, extension upgrades
    • Version previews – through a sandbox environment can upgrade a tenant for testing and verify compatibility
    • Extension Mgmt – service that validates tenant extensions against upcoming versions
