KEY2ACT customers now have a new feature to help them gain better insight into their data, and make more informed business decisions. Know, a business intelligence library of interactive report templates, is available at no cost to current customers. Built on
With Know, users gain access to a library of report templates for both Service Management and Job Cost. The data and calculations are already configured, making the implementation easier on users. Know also includes queries that create the data cache, add calculated field and measures, cleanse and transform data into information that makes more sense and is visually appealing.
These report formats can be changed to best fit the data you’re analyzing – whether that be a list, chart, gauge, graph, etc. You also can apply filters, change colors and values, and show different combinations of data.
Current reports in Service Management include:
- Service call profitability
- Service call progress
- Service call statistics
- Service calls created over time
- Technician forecast (6 months)
- Technician statistics
- Maintenance contract statistics
Reports in Job Cost include:
- Job actual vs. forecasted cost
- Job anticipated profit loss
- Job cash flow
- Job change order
- Job contract earned by year and period
- Job created completed closed county by period (3 year)
- Job over-under billed
All of these insightful reports are built on Power BI from Microsoft. The desktop version of the tool is the foundation for all future KEY2ACT dashboards and analysis of data.
In each report, there are areas users can drill down into to get more detailed information and further data. This information is pulled directly from KEY2ACT’s SQL database. However, the information you have in Power BI and Know is not only limited to SQL information. You can import other data directly into the product.
While the Power BI desktop version is complimentary, you need to purchase a Power BI Pro license to utilize KNOW, which requires access to Power BI Service. Power BI Service is cloud-based version and accessed through an internet portal and on mobile devices.
Power BI Service also offers more robust functionality than the desktop version like the ability to create, edit, and copy dashboards. Users are able to add tiles to include web content, images, videos, text boxes and more. Through Power BI Service users can:
- Drill down on data
- See record set
- Share information and charts with others
- Query the data
- Subscribe to a report
- Edit reports
- Generate QR codes
- Export to Excel
- Pin tiles to dashboard, creating a personalized view
The cost for Power BI Pro is $9.99 per user, per month. If you currently use Office 365, check which version you have because some can add Power BI Pro licensing.
