The Senate has not scheduled a date for a vote and the Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn indicated that they aren’t in a hurry. They want to make sure they have all of the votes needed to pass the legislation before even scheduling the vote. Since they aren’t under any deadline, they will take all the time needed to secure support.
