Dynamics GP 2016 Installation Is Boring and Boring Is Good.

As GP partners we tend to be 0n the "bleeding edge" of technology so that our customers don't have to be.  Whenever a new version of our flagship product is out, we install it and test all of its new features as a way of learning as well as making sure it works the way it is supposed to.  On our very crowded test environments this could spell disaster if the new version has bugs that somehow escaped Microsoft's thorough testing processes.  I am happy to say that the Dynamics GP 2016 installation is boring, and boring is good.

I recently wrote about my initial experience installing Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 on my very complex demo box in ICON's blog and I must say my initial impression is very good.  Even the installation of the web client which should be complex by definition, went without a hitch and all of the features I have tested so far have more than passed the test.  GP 2016 seems to be a very robust release indeed, and this is good news for our customers and Dynamics GP users in general as this is further proof that new installations and upgrades are getting better and easier, making it possible for customers to jump into newer versions earlier and take advantage of the quick-paced release cycle that Microsoft has committed to with the Dynamics GP product.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 new features are well documented through erpsoftwareblog; just search for GP 2016 and you will get lots of information on it.  If you are a current Dynamics GP user, go ahead and test GP 2016 and I believe you will be impressed.  If you don't have Dynamics GP but would like to consider the best valued ERP on the market, give us a call and we will be more than happy to help you.
