    Email | Print

Conv 2015_Blog_Bling_BreakthroughsAccording to the @MSFTConvergence team there will be between 450-500 sessions at Convergence 2015 - for both current and future customers or Microsoft Dynamics as well as information about a variety of other supporting technologies. Hundreds of exhibitors will show additional add-on products and tools to support your business. To get the most out of the event, we suggest that you start making your action plan now.

    Convergence 2015 Sessions:

Everyone will gather as a group to listen to the Keynote speakers but after that you have many options.

In the Convergence 2015 sessions catalog you can choose sessions related to:

    • Azure
    • Devices
    • Microsoft Dynamics AX
    • Microsoft Dynamics CRM
    • Microsoft Dynamics GP
    • Microsoft Dynamics NAV
    • Microsoft Dynamics SL
    • Microsoft Lync
    • Microsoft Office
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Yammer

You can also further filter the session category list by:

    • Type: Introductory, Intermediate, Experienced, Advanced
    • Primary Role: End User, IT Professional, Power User
    • Industry: Distribution, Education, Financial Services, Government, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Professional Services, Retail
    • Solution: Customer Engagement, Digital Work Experiences, Intelligent Operations, Modern Small & Mid Sized Business
    • Theme: Big data, Cloud, Insights, Internet of Things, Leadership, Mobil, Productivity, Security

Several of these filters are new this year, and should make it easier for you to pinpoint the specific sessions that apply to you.

Here is an explanation of the different formats for the sessions:

    • Concurrent Sessions: 60 minutes of presentation, demonstration, panel discussions, tips and tricks, best practices—or some combination of all of these.
    • Interactive Discussions:60 minutes of dialogue with a moderator. Think: less presentation, more conversation.
    • Deep Dive Sessions: 90 minutes to explore product functionalities, customizations, enhancements, troubleshooting, integrations and more. Generally presented by Microsoft product experts.
    • Sponsor Theater Presentations: 15 or 30 min brief snapshots from one of the event sponsors conducted on the expo floor.
    • Sponsor Breakout Sessions:60 minute deeper dives to find out more from the event sponsors about their solutions.
    • Roundtable Discussions: Networking with others, actively participate in small group discussions—while seated at a round table!

And remember, you’ll continue to see sessions added, modified, canceled or rescheduled in Schedule Builder as we get closer to the event.

    Next steps:

    Convergence 2015 ISV Expo

Don’t forget to reserve enough time in your schedule to visit the ISV Expo. Many clients tell us this is the most valuable part of the event. You can make a list now of add-on products you want to learn more about and booths you want to visit by filtering the Sponsor and Exhibitor Listing.

You can filter the exhibitor list by:

    • Products Supported (AX, CRM, GP, SL, NAV)
    • Services
    • Verticals
    • Countries

On top of the keynotes, sessions and expo time - there are the receptions, after parties and other events. As an attendee your email will be flooded with invitations.

No matter what you decide, it will be a busy week in Atlanta. We look forward to hosting several clients at Convergence 2015 and helping to make it a fantastic educational experience. The sooner you start planning, the more you will get out of it.
