There has been wide speculation on the location of Convergence 2015. The date and location for the following year is always announced during the closing session. But this year at Convergence 2014 there were no announcements.
Many people thought the 2015 event would be held in Chicago since found it listed in a Chicago Convention Center proposal. Perhaps there were some contract negotiations that went wrong and that accounts for the delayed announcement.
But Microsoft has surprised us all and Convergence 2015 will be back in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center. March 16-19th. I admit I am very disappointed we will not get to go somewhere new. But at least we already know all the good restaurants in downtown Atlanta.
This will be the fourth time the annual Microsoft Dynamics user convention is held in Atlanta. It was there in 2010, 2011, 2014. The event was held in Orlando 9 times. (I wish we could go back there for number 10).
