We just hired a new salesman and I needed to provide some good information on our Dynamics GP product and service offerings. He actually worked for one of the biggest Sage partners in the U.S. and left because Sage was not investing in R & D, they were retiring products like Sage PFW and MAS500 and the viability of the brand was waning… He asked me “Why buy Microsoft Dynamics GP over the other ERP products like Sage, Infor, Epicor, or QuickBooks, etc.?” I have put together this list for our salesman to use for sales and thought I would share it with you too.
Why Make the Change to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013?
One major selling point is the number of companies using the software; 47,000 Companies use Dynamics GP. That is a lot of revenue for Microsoft and a lot of R & D dollars going back into the product. As a matter of fact at the Microsoft Convergence show in Atlanta last week I saw a bunch of new features coming out later this year for Dynamics GP 2013 H2. They also showed some new mobile companion applications. There is always something to look forward to as a GP Customer and Partner.
Dynamics GP has many Partners to help you install and implement your software. Partners like Custom Information Services also provide on-going support to customers that need help. Typically these are high growth customers. If your business is not in high growth then there is no need to call your partner since there is a plethora of resources available to Dynamics GP customers.
True software publisher: Microsoft purchased Great Plains in 2001 and with its first release in 1993 this software has gone a long, long way! This is not a flash in the pan solution; Dynamics GP is a mature product line that keeps getting better and better.
Your business will have a long future with Dynamics GP. Its revenue represents 56% of the revenue for all the Dynamics product lines which include AX, NAV and SL. No plans to retire Dynamics GP!

If I had my own business or could make the decision for a company on what software to buy, it would definitely buy Microsoft Dynamics GP and have a certified partner help me with the implementation. I am also a Dynamics GP end user at our office and I love it!
