In an earlier blog we discussed some new features available in Document Attach in GP 2013 SP2. Those included emailing attachments and allowing attachments associated with master IDs (Vendors, customer, items, etc.) to “flow” with any new transactions created.
Today we are going to discuss a couple other new features with Document Attach and
The other feature we are going to discuss is Deletion Control. With the earlier versions of Document Attach any document added to GP was easily deleted by any user. With SP2, Microsoft has added the ability to control how the deletion of documents is handled. We now have the ability to prevent anyone from deleting a document once it has been added. We also can continue to allow anyone to delete a document. Our third option allows us to assign a password to the process. This allows users that have access to the password the ability to delete the document, while preventing other users from deleting the document.
As you can see Document Attach continues to grow and improve and meets many of our users document management needs, all from within Dynamics GP and SQL. If you have any questions or would like some assistance with how Document Attach can be utilized at your organization please
