Small and midsize businesses can quickly and affordably get started with by simply purchasing the Starter Pack. The Starter Pack covers financial management, business intelligence, human resource management, and supply chain management, and it includes three Full User licenses, all for one price. Many businesses need only the Starter Pack.
Note that additional software licenses may be required for Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, or Microsoft SharePoint Server, as these are not included with the Starter Pack license.
Businesses looking for greater functionality than that found in the Starter Pack can also license the optional Extended Pack, an extension to the Starter Pack. The Extended Pack covers manufacturing, project management, and customer relationship management, and it also includes more advanced extensions to the Starter Pack's business intelligence and supply chain management functionality.
Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 also offers four ancillary packs that can further extend your business solution:

- SmartList Builder Pack: for creating rich reports without a developer.
- Collections Management: the name says it all. A tool to help you reduce your accounts receivables balance.
- Extended Human Resources and Payroll: the Starter Pack includes standard US and Canadian Payroll and HR for an unlimited number of employees. This extension offers more flexibility beyond the standard.
