Convergence 2013 is here!  Our insider’s guide to must-see attractions in New Orleans can help you make the most of your time during Convergence Week:

The Cabildo— Go explore the history of Louisiana! This Museum, located less than two miles away from the NOLA Convention Center, was built around 1795 and is where the Louisiana Purchase was signed. For history buffs, this is a significant building in American history. For art buffs, it contains more than 1,000 paintings, portraits and other works of art. You’ll also get to see multiple interactive displays telling stories of Louisiana and American History.  Get a group of people together, or go solo, and enjoy this beautiful museum located in the historic French Quarter. https://www.crt.state.la.us/museum/

Palace Café— This restaurant has won multiple awards since its 1991 opening, among them being named “Best New Restaurant” from Esquire magazine and USA Today. If you like Creole cuisine, an upbeat and lively atmosphere, and great service, Palace Café is where you need to be!  Serving brunch, lunch, dinner, and of course cocktails and dessert, you are bound to find something you’ll love. https://www.palacecafe.com/

New Orleans City Park—The weather is supposed to be lovely, so New Orleans City Park is the perfect place to go and spend your afternoon. It is a 1,300 acre park that the entire city helped to restore after Hurricane Katrina, complete with bike rentals, a botanical garden, golf, tennis courts, and more. https://neworleanscitypark.com/

Royal Street—Royal Street, located just one block over from Bourbon Street in the French Quarter, was named “World’s Best Street for Antiquing” by the Travel Channel. Here, you will find countless antiques, elegant shops, furniture, jewelry, art, not to mention beautiful buildings and eye-catching architecture.  https://www.neworleansonline.com/tools/streets/royalstreet.html

NOLA Restaurant—This casual and funky restaurant has a globally-inspired Creole/Acadian menu with a Chef’s Food Bar overlooking the kitchen. It is less than two miles away from the Convention Center, and would be a great place to go with a group of people and unwind after a long day. https://www.emerilsrestaurants.com/nola-restaurant
