Collections Management for Microsoft Dynamics GP Transitions Back to Independent Software Vendor (ISV)

Email | Print

Microsoft has announced that after a successful 12-year relationship, they are transferring ongoing sales, maintenance and support of the Collections Management feature in Dynamics GP back to the author of the software, Professional Advantage. Collections Management allows you to improve cash flow, reduce bad debt and simplify sending invoices to and collecting money from customers.

This change is effective June 1, 2013. On this date Microsoft Dynamics GP will no longer offer Collections Managements for purchase.

Changes for the End User

Nothing will change for you as the customer using the product. All of these customers with licenses to Collections Management will continue to receive new releases, enhancements and support by signing up for a maintenance plan with Professional Advantage through their channel partner.

How to Buy

Customers who wish to purchase Collections Management after June 1, 2013 can purchase the module through channel partners. Microsoft Dynamics GP channel partners are requested to register with Professional Advantage to ensure their existing customers obtain new releases, enhancements and support for Collections Management. If you don’t hear from your partner regarding this change, definitely follow up with them to ensure you get access to the latest releases.

Professional Advantage release a new version of Collections Management June 1, 2013 that is enhanced with new features and functionality including: significant time-saving improvements, collection plans to automate collection steps, integration with non-Microsoft Dynamics GP invoicing systems, Quick Start setup wizards and improved reporting.

You may already own Collections Management

You may not realize that you already own the Collections Management module and just haven’t put it into use. Collections Management was part of the Dynamics GP “Advanced Management” bundle, and therefore is included in any GP installation that is under the Business Ready Licensing for Advanced Management. Are you thoroughly confused yet? Don’t worry, it just means that you might be able to put this module to use with a little configuration and training! We can help you determine if you have CM lurking out there just waiting to be used.
