The Rapid Start and Rapid Configuration software tools for Microsoft Dynamics® GP 2013 are slated to be released in late January. The major change still in transition is that the new tools aren’t wizard driven on the configuration side. For the first release, the data migration tool is still wizard based, but that change is in design.
Information straight from the Microsoft Dynamics GP Tools development team: The tools have been updated to support current versions of Peachtree and QuickBooks. The Configuration tool has a bunch of cool new features:
- Questionnaire-based approach, letting you complete sections as you can, and giving you a progress indicator
- All-new user interface to drive the new approach
- Ability to "save" existing configurations for use on future implementations that are similar, saving countless hours of implementation time and protecting against potential errors
- Backwards compatibility with GP 2010
We’re excited to get this new release into the hands of clients and consultants to facilitate the rapid implementation of GP 2013 in both hosted and on-site deployments.
