Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013’s Cool Web Client

Email | Print

As everyone now knows, Microsoft will make Dynamics GP 2013 generally available in December. Beta releases have been around since the summer, and the word is out that the Web Client is one of the major new features in this release.  With this MS GP web client, anyone can access the full power of GP from their browser.

The Microsoft Dynamics GP team has done a great job in making the web experience similar to their standard rich client. You can see for yourself in this video.

Essentially, Dynamics GP is in the cloud with the presentation layer separated out from all the accounting logic, which resides on the server or host. This means remote access to Dynamics GP is possible without requiring users to login to a VPN or accessing a terminal server or Citrix.

The Web Client will be especially well suited for organizations that have users in many remote sites or with a large number of telecommuting employees.
