5 Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Add-ons Worth a Look

As much as we would like it to, no one product can do everything for everyone. That’s when we look for a product to bolt on to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 that will work seamlessly and make our lives easier. The top 15 recommended Dynamics GP Add-on products were announced in early January, but we’ve whittled the list down to 5, in no particular order. To be included on our short list, these add-ons had to have tried and true functionality, ease of use, wide adoption, and high overall customer satisfaction.

  1. MekormaMICR Check Printing. MICR is the best overall check printing enhancement for Microsoft Dynamics GP. It makes managing multiple checking accounts secure and easy, heightens security and adds convenience to the check signing processes. Administrators no longer need access to Microsoft Dynamics or to use an administrator password to create, change, or delete users.   4. Avalara - AvaTax – Sales tax collection and reporting made easy. I have to admit, this is my personal favorite; it really does take one of the most painful processes and makes it simple. AvaTax delivers real-time sales tax calculations based on up-to-date sales and use tax rules. This includes address validation, sourcing rules, product taxability and jurisdiction assignment. It makes compliance simple, with transaction history and on-demand reporting. It also reduces audit risk with cloud-based sales tax services that make it simple to calculate rates, manage exemption certificates, file forms and remit payments.
  5. Encore Business Solutions - Advanced Smartlist Tool - A seamless extension to SmartList, the Dynamics GP query tool. With the added power of Advanced SmartList, users can sum columns and insert totals in the query, reducing the need to export data into Excel, saving time and effort. Advanced Smartlist also offers a drag and drop grouping function along with the ability to manipulate data by sorting and filtering information without having to leave the Dynamics GP desktop.
