A November 18, 2010 Microsoft press release focuses on the success of Microsoft Dynamics GP and announces the upcoming release of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 (Release 2).  It does not actually give a date but says that it is scheduled for general availability in the first half of 2011.  So companies that are looking at purchasing a new ERP solution now have this as an option.

A few experts were quoted in this press release including our very own George Mackiewicz, president of CAL Business Solutions.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 is delivering huge opportunity for our business by providing the ability to drill down into details from the home page using configurable dashboard metrics,” said George Mackiewicz, president, CAL Business Solutions Inc. “The fact that Microsoft is continuing to provide further innovation for the solution on a regular basis makes it an even easier choice for customers.”

The release also highlights an impressive case study of Primo Water Corp., a Consumer Goods Distribution company based in Winston-Salem, NC using Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010.  (Their Dynamics GP partner, Interdyn Artis is an ERP Software blog member too)
