href="http://www.informit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=1338346">paperless office” is somewhat of a myth. Sure, Microsoft Dynamics GP can automate many processes and thus in theory reduce the need for paper. But the reality is that old habits die hard. One study by Xerox found that the average office worker prints more than 1,000 sheets of paper per month, 45% of which is thrown out the day it is printed. The same study also found that 89% of people editing a document online still print a hard copy for reference sake.

So does this mean your ERP solution can’t be green? Not at all. For instance, perhaps your company has launched a green initiative. If so, you need some sort of tool to measure your success, or at least monitor things to ensure things flow the way they should. Dynamics GP Key Performance Indicators can help you see if you have reached goals on things such as fuel consumption, electrical use, waste reductions etc. Web Browser Access to Dynamics GP can create a virtual environment in which employees can work from home, thus reducing traffic and pollution. Electronic document delivery features in GP allow you to organize and schedule the e-mail delivery of invoices, credit memos and other sales documents to your customers in XML, HTML, Office Excel, or PDF format.

If your goal is to improve your overall green efficiencies, Dynamics GP can help you meet that goal.

By Intellitec Solutions, <a
