Cloud ERP – Why it might be a worthwhile investment for your company

    Email | Print

Cloud ERP has the benefit of relatively faster deployment and simpler management, along with regular updates that keep it up-to-date with evolving security, functionality and application ecosystem requirements. For many organizations, the best part of cloud-based ERP is the option to outsource the IT headaches that come along with an on-premise environment, enabling them to focus on their business growth and strategic IT initiatives, rather than on IT maintenance.

Cloud ERP can be highly cost-effective

Consider Microsoft Dynamics 365 as a prime example. Extending on the already popular and effective practice of hosting Microsoft Dynamics in the cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 offers your organization a cloud-based ERP platform and common data model to connect applications and scale at your own pace. With Microsoft Dynamics 365, you don’t have to worry about whether or not your future technology investments will integrate with your current applications. Cloud-based solutions are rapidly becoming the norm, both in the form of true SaaS solutions like Micrososft Dynamics 365, and in on-premise solutions that are being transitioned to privately and publicly hosted cloud data centers. As a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider, we provide the comprehensive services to transition you to a cloud-hosted environment, optimized for your solution and IT goals.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the road ahead for cloud ERP

Many of the traditional ERP developers are playing catch-up in the cloud ERP market (TechCrunch described it as an attempt to get on the “cloud revenue fast track”). Microsoft has established itself as a leader in this space, while still providing a complete range of on-premise and cloud solutions to fit its customers’ business requirements.

The gap can be seen when comparing Microsoft’s full offering to solutions like SAP and Oracle. Microsoft Dynamics comes with tight synergy across their vast ecosystem of both infrastructure and business solutions. Additionally, Microsoft Dynamics offers flexible licensing plans that save organizations money with “right size” usage rights.

No matter which version of Dynamics is right for you, Turnkey can help you evaluate your options and create a detailed roadmap to achieve your vision. Contact us if you have any questions or would like to learn more about cloud ERP!

    1. The cloud erp system is best for small and medium size business. Moreover, as per my experience some of the advantages of the cloud based erp system are

      1) Access more features like easier to update applications
      2) Moving away from the legacy system
      3) Faster in Implementation
