In Office 365 Experience: Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 is directly linked with Office 365. This seamless functionality means that you can boost productivity by saving time, increasing accuracy while offering your customers an improved experience by having the ability to navigate effortlessly between NAV and Office 365.
Enhanced User Experience: Better performance, productivity and simplicity has been designed to accomplish more in your day-to-day task by having a more intuitive user experience and advanced functionality.
Embedded Power BI: Rich business intelligence through Microsoft’s Power BI is now integrated into NAV to provide relevant charts and graphs inside the user role center. Employees can stay informed on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that are visually stunning, provide insights into operations and interactive reporting.
PowerApps and WorkFlow: Also asociated with PowerBI, there is a business app builder tool from Microsoft in which “non-developers” can create apps without extensive knowledge of code to solve business needs Microsoft Flow: A workflow configurator which is also part of PowerApps, connects cloud-based data and services to create workflows of task. Both PowerApps and MicrosoftFlow are Azure-Based-Microsoft’s cloud computing platform and infrastructure.
Optimized Mobile CRM: The mobile Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience in NAV has been enhancements to the Sales and Relationship Management role center. A simplified CRM includes contact management, interactions, and sales opportunities. You can also use improved interactions logging from your phone, logging email messages using Office 365.
E-everything: Make it easier for your customers to pay your invoices online by including hyperlinks to payment services, such as PayPal. This also utilizes Optical Character Recognition's (OCR) integration technology which enables you to extract unstructured PDFs or scanned invoices or credit memos into structured data, allowing further automatic processing similar to electronic documents.
Financial Management Enhancements include:
- Account Schedules are new and are the default-meaning that no set up is required, making it quick and intuitive to produce the financial reports that you need, and point-in-time reporting means you can view the financial state of your business for any given time.
- Account Categories creates better reporting that provide structure to your chart of accounts.
- Payment Reconciliation is now much more efficient because you can complete your payment and bank reconciliations in one step, matching all transactions at once, then posting and updating the bank reconciliation at the same time.
Item Management: Organize and classify your products the way you want, performing advanced searches on your catalog in just a few clicks and displaying only the information you need. You can create custom item attributes and assign an item attribute value, according to your business needs, helping you manage items or create sales documents.
Extensions: Modify your Dynamics NAV system without directly altering the source resources, making it easier to deploy, manage, and upgrade customization or extensions.
Cortana Intelligence: Built-in Cortana Intelligence, a predictive analysis technology, leverages historical data and helps you manage your stock and respond to your customers. Based on the forecast, the Sales and Inventory extension helps create replenishment requests for vendors; saving you time.
