This is a lesson in commonly used expressions. For example: “You can’t have your cake and eat it, too.” It’s a true statement, because of course “you can’t have it both ways.” Once the cake is eaten, you no longer have it. The cake is gone.
However, I recently learned that I can have “the best of both worlds.” I learned this because for the past 10 years I’ve worked for a local Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM partner. We serve the 6 New England states. Our consultants, who go out in the field every day to work with clients, return to their families every evening after work, sleep in their own beds every night. They don’t work out of suitcases in hotel rooms across the country.
But there’s a downside to that, too.
