Easily Distribute Reports with Management Reporter and Report Library

    Email | Print

Whether it’s cleaning the house or writing a blog, when I start working on something, I like to finish the task.  When a process is too complicated, or requires IT assistance, it becomes frustrating and time consuming. That’s why Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013's Management Reporter (MR) is such a great application. It’s easy to use and allows your workers to quickly create and distribute reports such as financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow.

Plus, once you set up a report, you can schedule it to run when you need it, whether that is daily, weekly, or monthly. (If cleaning my house were that easy, it would always be spotless.) Reports can be exported directly to Excel, giving you and your employees a familiar way to view the data. Through customization, you can determine which information each employee has the ability to view.

To share your reports, you can send them to SharePoint or distribute them through the centralized Report Library. During installation, a public folder is automatically created in the Report Library that you can use for documents that everyone on your team can view. Other folders can be created that limit access to the individuals you assign. Security settings can also be put into place that restrict the actions users can perform on specific folders. Along with your reports, additional supporting files can also be added to each folder, including word documents, excel spreadsheets or pdfs.

MR is included with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 and includes unlimited users. DFC Consultants is offering a two day in-depth training session on MR June 26-27 and July 30-31. Our training center is located in Fargo but remote training is available. Contact DFC to sign up for training or find out more about MR.
