Join Custom Information Services (CIS) at the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) workshop being offered by Texas Chapter on September 8, 2011. This daylong event features tabletop exhibitions, engaging presentations, and a networking lunch.
A highlight of the workshop includes a presentation by Kurt Middlekoop of the University of Texas at Arlington Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC). This one hour session, “Top 30 Savings Ideas with E3”, will include 30 practical strategies and techniques for organizations to learn how to improve results in waste elimination, energy reductions, quality enhancement, building efficiency, delivery of value to customers.
Hidden wastes – sometimes buried in facilities and support functions – can be significant, as can the costs associated with them. Included in the strategies are ideas for energy efficiency addressed in the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards for green buildings. This session teaches people without an environmental or energy background how to “see” new wastes for the first time.
