We all seem to understand that “Insurance” is a necessity, not only because you can get a ticket if you don’t carry a current policy, but if you do get into an accident, you may truly be thankful that you have that policy to rely upon.  Perhaps your ‘insurance’ carrier gives you a couple of other advantages for your purchase – like free maps to destinations you may vacation to – or a discount on other policies you may purchase from them.

In comparison, annual enhancement plans with software vendors seem to get a bad rap.  Have you taken a look at what may be included with your software ‘policy’?

In case you haven’t taken a look at the current list of benefits Microsoft Dynamics GP customers get with annual support and enhancement plans, here is a sample of what you would have access to:

Customersource:  Self-Help options of Free On-line training, Knowledge Base, How-To Documentation and White Papers.

Community Forums/ Blogs/Technical advice: Answer to questions or problem solutions.

TechNet subscription:  Provides information to plan, deploy, manage and support all your Microsoft products and technologies.

Product Release Information and Downloads/Roadmaps:  Know what the latest service packs and report dictionaries are available.  See the Microsoft Roadmap for at least the next 5 years.

Protected List Price & Transition Investment Credit :  Allows customers to budget for their software and services each year while gaining access to the latest technology and processes.

In addition, customers should be working closely with an authorized Microsoft Dynamics partner, like Borek Business Solutions, who keeps them abreast of all the:

    • New module and product features,
    • Promotions and discounts for software or services,
    • Tax updates, form changes and  service packs, and
    • News surrounding their ERP system.

So back to the beginning comment, folks understand that ‘insurance’ is a necessity and perhaps some insurance companies give you maps or discounts on other policies, but look at ALL the benefits you get from your ‘software insurance’!

Perhaps it is time to take advantage of the benefits Microsoft Dynamics GP and it’s ‘insurance policy’!
